A brief review of Veerasamy

It’s a unexpected return by (Rajendhar)VTR to the filmdom and that too as a Hero.. I am a fan of VTR’s dialogues and also of Vijayakanth. Both are serious comedians which they don’t seem to understand. VTR displayed his political trick by choosing Mumtaaj as his heroine but unfortunately even that didn’t save the film. Needless to say VTR is all in all in this film and even would have been the camera man but couldn’t be as he was the hero.

The introduction of VTR is spectacular, with all goondas rushing into a thatched house where VTR is supposed to be hiding. And there is loud music, as though a bomb blast inside the house and all men fall apart breaking the house into pieces and out comes our hero VTR, not failing to align his hair.

In this film, Veerasamy(vTR) plays a role of an MLA.(might be his dream).
Mumtaaj plays the role of a prostitute’s daughter staying right in front of VTR’s house. You may question how come a prostitute’s house be right in front of an MLA’s house and why not in his house itself. But VTR being hanumaan’s devotee, can’t allow all that. Then they show the Villi of the film, who is again a ‘keep’ of a Villian minister. The film is full of prostitutes and glamour girls, but VTR is shown as hanumaan devotee, Enna kodumai ethu saravanan??

Villian constantly tries to kill VTR , VTR retaliates and the whole mass lauds. In one scene, VTR breaks open the roof of the villian’s house and lands right in his bed room (thank God not in his bathroom) and says “Kodukura theivam kooraya pitchikitu thaanda kodukum” entha vangike. Such dialogues are our hero’s special and the highlights of the movie.

And meanwhile , Mumtaaj teaches the black ticket sellers a different way of selling film tickets, that I couldn’t say here.Better watch the film if you wish to learn it.

VTR has a sister in this film (nothing unusual). VTR is a born brother , he is a kickass actor when it comes to sister sentiment.  As usual Sister couldn’t resist falling in love with Villi’s brother, much to the dislike of VTR which is the rest of the story.

Mumtaaj’s love for VTR is quite unjustifiable and unbelievable and I think even he thought the same, so Mumtaaj luckily get’s married to another villian. And after marriage, the scenes weren’t watchable (no film misses to show you this).
